The Walk is made possible through the participation of over 600 individual walkers, over 70 congregations, and 30 corporate sponsors. This year the Walk will fund The Green Apple Pantry and 13 other local organizations, meaning that contributing to this one cause ripples to positively impact 13 non-profits and goes on to effect thousands of Kent County neighbors.

Walk From Home!

As COVID continues to impact our community, Access of West Michigan has made the decision to host a hybrid virtual walk with a Walk Kick-Off Event. This means households can join us for the kick-off at Briggs Park or walk in your neighborhood in the following ten days! You can do your walk anytime between May 1 and May 11. Follow along via Access’ social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) using #Walk4GoodFood. We encourage creativity! Here’s how it works:

Check back for updates and to join The Green Apple walk team! If you have any questions, please contact Lauren Wyngarden at LaurenWyngarden@thegreenapplepantry.org or call 616.455.9411

Please share the word! More walkers = a greater impact = more food security for our neighbors!
