Green Apple Pantry Featured on WZZM13 for Annual USPS Food Drive
The Green Apple Pantry was featured on WZZM13 Channel 13 News in connection with the annual USPS Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Executive Director Nancy Cromley was interviewed on-site as postal carriers and volunteers brought in thousands of donations for West Michigan families.
The Green Apple Pantry received some well-deserved media attention this month when WZZM13 Channel 13 News came out to cover the annual USPS Stamp Out Hunger food drive on Saturday, May 9th.

The USPS Stamp Out Hunger drive is one of the nation's largest single-day food drives. Residents simply leave non-perishable food items in a bag next to their mailbox, and postal carriers collect them during their regular route — making it one of the easiest ways for the community to give back.
Executive Director Nancy Cromley was interviewed by WZZM13 reporter Tim Dickman about the pantry's mission and the critical role community food drives play in keeping shelves stocked. The Green Apple Pantry serves more than 20,000 neighbors each year across Southeast Kent County.

Volunteers worked throughout the day to receive, sort, and stock the incoming donations. Events like this make a real difference — and having the story shared on local news helps spread the word to neighbors who may not yet know about the pantry's services.
