Humane Society Partnership Expands Kibble Konnection Program

Thursday, March 5, 2026|By The Green Apple Pantry Team

Our Kibble Konnection program with the Humane Society of West Michigan is expanding to serve more pet owners in need.

We are thrilled to announce that our partnership with the Humane Society of West Michigan is growing. The Kibble Konnection program, which provides pet food to families in need, will now be available at all three of our senior pantry locations in addition to our main facility on Kalamazoo Avenue.

Why Kibble Konnection Matters

For many families facing food insecurity, pets are not a luxury. They are companions, emotional support, and family. Research consistently shows that people will go without food themselves before giving up a pet. Kibble Konnection exists so that no one has to make that choice.

The Humane Society of West Michigan donates pet food directly to the pantry, and our volunteers distribute it alongside our regular grocery offerings. Families can pick up dog food, cat food, and other pet supplies at no cost.

Expanded Availability

Previously, Kibble Konnection was only available at our main pantry location. Starting this month, all three of our senior pantry sites will carry pet food as well. This means seniors who rely on our monthly distribution events can also get food for their pets without making a separate trip.

If you would like to donate pet food to the Kibble Konnection program, you can drop it off at the pantry during regular business hours. We accept dry and wet food for dogs and cats. Every bag helps keep a family together.
