Spring Hours Update: Extended Wednesday and Thursday Service
Starting this spring, we are extending our service hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays to better serve our community.
We are excited to announce that beginning this spring, the Green Apple Pantry will be extending our Wednesday and Thursday hours. Our new schedule will allow us to serve even more families in Southeast Kent County.
Updated Hours
Our updated schedule is as follows:
Monday and Tuesday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Wednesday and Thursday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (extended from 1:00 PM)
Friday through Sunday: Closed
Why the Change
We heard from many families that the 1:00 PM closing time on Wednesdays and Thursdays made it difficult for those who work morning shifts to visit the pantry. By staying open until 3:00 PM on those days, we can reach more people who need us most.
As a reminder, if Grand Rapids Public or Kentwood Public Schools are closed due to weather, the Pantry is also closed. Check our website or call us at (616) 455-9411 if you are unsure whether we are open.
